She drew flowers

She drew flowers
and birds
and a sun shining bright
Her hand held mine
She said all she could -
I love you -
and smiled
She explained the vine
and how it surrounds us
She gave me a hug
and left
me better.

1st comment below explains what I was thinking (if you are interested).
What Was I Thinking?
It was a tough period in my career. I was doing a lot of freelancing and mixing that with other jobs for which I had zero passion. My daughter, Alissa, drew me a picture that I still have today. She came in and the poem tells the rest. Children are such a blessing. This is just one way of honoring her.
